Workers Compensation

The emphasis of workers compensation is on achieving return to work and relates strictly to work related injury. WorkCover NSW regulates the way in which rehabilitation services are assessed and approved and also the responsibilities and entitlements of the respective parties.

Ongoing treatments and rehabilitation costs need to be pre approved. Medical certificates issued by the treating doctor ‘drive’ the claim by providing ‘evidence’ of diagnosis, treatment requirements and functional limitations on capacity to work.

Rehabilitation procedures and entitlements are governed by the following legislation:
